B is for Bright, bouncing brayer, faux batik! This is the 'B' page for my A-Z art journal. I have had some queries about how this was done, so this is what I did.
First I stamped a Heidi Swapp stamp with embossing ink and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. Then I applied ink using them bouncing brayer technique from Splitcoast stampers. Then I heat emossd the image again, this time melting the clear embossing powder-this causes it to soak through to the back of the paper, making it disappear from the front, creating the faux batik look. I love this technique- it's so easy, yet so effective!
