I've been busy..

...doing some DT work but can't upload it yet. I'm also behind in my A-Z Art journal. I wanted to use Hessian for the letter H, and I've not been able to find any. So I will need to rethink the letter H- maybe some Homespun Hearts?. and now we're up to letter I. I'm thinking of irridescent ink insects...

Meanwhile Lisa has given my blog an award, wasn't that nice.

So which blogs do I find inspiring-where shall I send this award? well there are lots, but here are a few.

Don't you just love....

....it when you find a new inspirational blog? Well I do, and this is my latest find: Colorstorychallenge. This week's challenge was to make a LO using black, white, red, yellow and lime green. What a fabulous, energizing colour combination! So I was inspired to have a go at the challenge, and here's the result.

Now I just have to clean up the massive mess I made just doing this one LO. I must be the world's messiest scrapper.

...a surprise?
Well yesterday I had a lovely surprise waiting for me when I got home from work- a big box of Dream St papers- the entire new collection. It came direct from the company as a thank you for sending them a minibook I made last year for the company to display in the trade booth at the winter CHA show. I had no idea I this package was coming, so it was indeed a great surprise, and I have to say there are some gorgeous papers in the collection. as you can see from the photos. I don't know which to play with first! Scrapping wise I have been very busy this week I have done 5 pages for Scrapbook Sisters. I am trying to think of something a little different to make too, maybe a minibook- a book in a box... start thinking.

.....Prima? These are the Prima papers I have been sent by Scrapbook Sisters to play with. So far I have made 3 LOs- the papers are gorgeous. They are double sided, so twice the value in my opinion, and really nice, heavy quality too. They are very versatile designs which can be used for a range of projects, for example, masculine pages,vintage, garden, travel or children. I was also sent some of the Papermania printed vellums, a range I would probably not chosen for myself. That's the great thing about being on a design team-you get to play with things that you maybe wouldn't have though of using. However I've enjoyed using these vellums. They can soften aspects of the LO, and are useful also for layering, without blocking out the underlayer completely.

Here's a LO I did a while ago-Emily who is sometimes too serious for her own good. She most definitely did not inherit her capacity to work from her mother!

What a difference...

...a day makes. One day Madrid 31c, blue skies; Next day Edinburgh with snow. It didn't last long, but was so pretty. Here are a few snaps from the garden.

Here is a LO I did for Tess, who can't decide what she wants to be when she grows up-a kindy teacher, or Queen of the Sea! She is just the cutest sweetest little girl and I wanted to make a LO that was just as cute as she is!!

It is a very dimensional LO -lots of different layers and textures.
